Kent Cheng , actually Kent Cheng Jak-si (born May 22, 1951 ) is a Chinese actor and director from the field of cinema and TV. He won the Hong Kong Film Award for "Best Actor" twice . In Germany he became known for his shady role at the side of Jackie Chan in the action thriller Hard to Die . He appeared in various productions, including horror films , comedies , dramas , action films , Eastern and thrillers .

Career

Kent Cheng grew up in poverty in Hong Kong and wanted to be an actor even as a child. In 1972 he joined a film company, in which he was not given a role. In 1976 he was hired as an actor for dramas for the television station TVB . In 1985 he won the Hong Kong Film Awards Actor Award for his role in Why Me? .

Cheng opened a film company in the 1990s that failed.
