Zhao Wei
Zhao Wei ( Chinese 趙薇 / 赵薇 , Pinyin Zhào Wēi ; born March 12, 1976 in Wuhu , Anhui , People's Republic of China ) also known as Vicki Zhao , is a Chinese actress , director and singer .
Life
Zhao Wei achieved international fame with roles in So Close - Nothing Is As It Seems and Shaolin Kickers . In 2003 she starred in Guardians of Heaven and Earth and Green Tea . In 2008 she played the role of the living princess Sun Shangxiang in John Woo's Red Cliff .
On August 6, 2009, Zhao Wei was elected Vice President of the Chinese Film Performance Art Academy .
Shanghai International Film Festival (SIFF). Her participation in the film festival should also be her first public appearance after the birth of her daughter. In August 2010 she was Ambassador of the Changchun Film Festival.
On June 9, 2010, it was confirmed that Zhao Wei would serve as one of seven judges and the only female member for the Golden Goblet Awards at the 13thIn 2016 she was appointed to the competition jury of the 73rd Venice International Film Festival .
In 2017 she was appointed to the competition jury of the 30th Tokyo International Film Festival .
As an artist, she has won dozens of awards and has sold more than six million records in Asia.
