Wong Jing ( Chinese  王晶 , Pinyin Wáng Jīng , Jyutping Wong 4 Zing 1 A , born as 王 日 祥 , Wáng Rìxiáng , Jyutping Wong 4 Jat 6 coeng 4 , Cantonese  Wong Yat Cheong , on May 3, 1955 in Hong Kong ) is a in Hong Kong living actor , director , film producer and screenwriter . Wong Jing was established in the west a. a. known from his God of Gamblers series of gambling films. He is one of the most productive filmmakers in his home country and has been involved in over 180 productions. He is at home in all genres, u. a. Drama, comedy, action, thriller and horror.

Life

Wong was born in Hong Kong as the son of the famous director Wong Tin-Lam ( 王天林 ). He studied Chinese literature at the Chinese University of Hong Kong . Like many well-known actors or directors of his time, Wong began his career as a screenwriter on television at TVB . He made his film debut in 1981 at Shaw Brothers Studios, for which he had also previously written scripts.

He is married to Ding Dak-gwan - 丁德君 - and has two daughters, Ada - 王 佟 艺  /  王 佟 藝 - and Dada Wong - 王子涵 .
