Richard Ng (actor)

Richard Ng , also: Yiu-Hon Ng ( Chinese  吳耀漢  /  吴耀汉 , Pinyin Wú Yàohàn , Jyutping Ng 4 Yiu 6 hon 3 ; born December 17, 1939 in Guangdong ) is a Chinese actor who has so far participated in over 130 productions.

Career

Ng spent several years in London before returning to Hong Kong , where he started out as a television actor and became a well-known film actor in the 1970s. For his role in Winners and Sinners , he was nominated for Best Actor at the 1984 Hong Kong Film Awards , but Tony Leung Ka-Fai was named as the winner . In 1997 he moved back to London, where he increasingly played in television series after having appeared in over 80 films in Hong Kong and the People's Republic of China . He is the father of actor Carl Ng , with whom he appeared in the British feature film Bodyguard - A New Beginning .
