The Kochi Tuskers Kerala were a cricket team that played in the Indian Premier League . They represented the city of Kochi , Kerala . The team was approved as a new franchise together with the Pune Warriors India in the 2011 season . The home stadium was the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in Kochi and the Holkar Cricket Stadium in Indore .
Exclusion from the IPL
Due to disagreements among the owners and the failure to submit the annual fees to the BCCI, the franchise was excluded from the Indian Premier League. As of the 2012 season , only 9 teams took part.
