The Koehler Nunatak is an isolated Nunatak in the West Antarctic Ellsworthland . It rises 30 km east-southeast of Mount Manthe on the southeastern edge of the Hudson Mountains .
The United States Geological Survey mapped it based on its own measurements and aerial photographs of the United States Navy from 1960 to 1966. The Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names named it in 1970 after Walter Koehler of the United States Army , helicopter pilot during the exploration of Ellsworthland between 1968 and 1969.
