The mine Sunjiawan is a Chinese coal mine near the city of Fuxin . It belongs to the Fuxin Coal Group and produces 1.5 million tons of coal annually. It employs around 3,100 people.
history
A firedamp explosion on February 14, 2005, around 3:50 p.m. local time at a depth of around 242 m killed 210 miners. 22 people were injured. According to reports, the explosion occurred about ten minutes after an earthquake.
