The Tuzla coal-fired power plant ( Bosnian Termoelektrana Tuzla ) is a lignite-fired power plant in a suburb of Tuzla in Bosnia and Herzegovina . It is the largest power plant in the country. The operator is Elektroprivreda Bosne i Hercegovine .
history
Construction of the first two blocks began in 1959. The first 32 MW block has been in operation since 1963 and the last block with 215 MW since 1978. A new 450 MW block is also being planned to be built by Alpiq should.
