The College of St. Ignatius von Loyola (lit. Šv. Ignaco Lojolos kolegija ) is a Catholic private university in the second largest Lithuanian city of Kaunas . The college is named after Ignatius von Loyola . The courses are orthopedic technology (medical technology), image design , beauty therapy and social work .

history

On January 25, 2010, the Archdiocese of Kaunas , the Jesuit Province of Lithuania and the UAB “Ortopedijos klinika” signed a contract. The first school year began together with the König Mindaugas Vocational Training Center . The course for a professional bachelor's degree was introduced later . On May 26, 2011, the college was approved by the Lithuanian Ministry of Education and was given the right to organize studies.

In December 2011, the College of the received Government of Lithuania by loan agreement for 10 years rooms in Kaunas. In 2012 it had 77 first-year students and 37 second-year students, 15 of them with government funding. In 2013 there were 15 university places with government funding.

In May 2013 an external institutional evaluation of the college was carried out by an international group of experts (headed by Bob Munn , University of Manchester , UK). instead of. On January 22nd, 2014 the college was accredited for three years by Studijų kokybės vertinimo centras based on the external evaluation .
