The Teufelsfelsen in Mitterfels is a rocky dome made of pearl gneiss with weathering of wool sacks and is designated as a protected geotope .
It has an exposed location between Mitterfels Castle and the valley path on the right along the Menach , which it towers over more than 50 meters. Here near the former valley mill , the Menach is just called Perlbach and changes its direction at right angles from southeast to southwest at the Teufelsfelsen.
