The college tower in Mindelheim is a listed building in the Unterallgäu district ( Bavaria ). The tower was formerly located on the northwest corner of the city fortifications of Mindelheim and is now free. The name is derived from the former neighboring Jesuit college. The brick tower was built around 1500 and consists of three floors. In the 19th century the building was converted into a residential tower .

description

The floor plan of the tower consists of a three-quarter circle, the side of which towards the city is just closed. Between the second and third floors there is a circumferential ledge covered with hollow bricks. The third floor is slightly set back. Rectangular windows are built into all three floors. The tower is covered with a six-sided tent roof with tiles. The former city wall corresponds to the height of the ledge between the second and third floors.
