KolourPaint is a free, simple drawing program for the KDE graphical user interface. Version 3.3, which came out in August 2004, replaced its predecessor KPaint . It has simple drawing tools but does not allow complicated manipulation of photos. With KolourPaint you can
- Draw diagrams, simple pictures and freehand pictures
- Manipulate images and photos, create collages and apply effects
- Create icons and cliparts , also with transparency .
KolourPaint supports a number of different image formats , including JPG , PNG , PCX , XPM and GIF , but no formats for vector graphics.
The program is considered to be the KDE equivalent of Microsoft Windows' Paint program .
