Kolpingstrasse 18 (Sontheim)
The residential building at Kolpingstraße 18 in Sontheim is a two-story building that was built in 1904 according to plans by Hermann Maute and Theodor Moosbrugger .
description
The two four-room apartments in the building served as apartments for senior executives at the Ackermann twisting mill . Julius Fekete particularly emphasizes the building's dominant position in urban development:
" Two-storey plastered building ... in a corner location dominating urban development, side elevations with high curved gables, polygonal corner tower with so-called Welscher hood ... "
Joachim Hennze underlines the representative appearance of the house and the style. It was the neo-baroque architecture that was modern for a short time:
“ In 1904, Moosbrugger built a representative corner house for senior Ackermann employees at Kolpingstrasse 18. The two-storey plastered building has side elevations with high, curved gables and a striking corner tower with a Welscher hood in the neo-baroque style, which had become fashionable for a few years. .
