Combination preparation

As combination products ( Composita ) are drugs referred to several active ingredients contained.

The combination of active ingredients results in an improved main effect or an expansion of the spectrum of activity. The fixed combination of several active ingredients required for effectiveness enables simple, effective and safe use.

Examples:

If a medicinal product contains more than one active ingredient, the application for approval must justify the fact that each active ingredient contributes to the positive assessment of the medicinal product.

The fixed combination of several active ingredients is viewed critically for some areas of application in the self-medication sector.
