Komhyr Ridge is a prominent mountain ridge in the Antarctic Ross Dependency . In the northwestern part of the Queen Alexandra chain, it rises east of the Hochstein Ridge .

The United States Geological Survey mapped it on the basis of its own tellurometer measurements and aerial photographs of the United States Navy from 1960 to 1962. The Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names named it in 1966 after the meteorologist Walter Dmytro Komhyr (* 1931), who was part of the United States Antarctic Research Program operated at McMurdo Station between 1963 and 1964 .
