Hochstein Ridge is a 19 kilometer long mountain ridge in the Antarctic Ross Dependency . From the Cotton Plateau in the Queen Alexandra chain , it stretches northward between the Prince Edward Glacier and the Prince of Wales Glacier .

The United States Geological Survey mapped it based on its own tellurometer measurements and aerial photographs of the United States Navy from 1960 to 1962. The Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names named it in 1966 after the glaciologist Manfred Hochstein of the University of Auckland , who was part of the United States Antarctic Research Program was active on Roosevelt Island in three Antarctic summer campaigns between 1961 and 1964 .
