Commos (drama)
The Kommos ( Greek ; plural: the Kommoi) represents the lamentation in ancient Greek drama . As part of the episodion , the Kommos is the climax of the tragedy . An actor and the choir alternate between singing . The chant is mostly about sagas of gods and heroes. The actor speaks rationally and the choir responds emotionally with cheers or fear. This continues several times.
