Local elections in Saxony 2008
On January 23, 2008, the law to reorganize the area of the districts of the Free State of Saxony and to change other laws was passed by the Saxon state parliament. After this, the first district council and district elections ( district elections) for the ten new districts to be formed took place on June 8, 2008.
