The Hilpertsau-Weisenbach compact overhead line is a 1.326 kilometer long three-circuit 20 kV overhead line operated by EnBW AG east of Hilpertsau . The compact overhead line design, which is rarely used, combines the three conductors of a circuit as a strand. The conductors are electrically separated and mechanically combined with insulators . The line is attached to the masts together. This type of construction has the advantage of requiring less space than a normal overhead line. The line crosses the Middle Murgtal landscape protection area and also the Kunstweg am Reichenbach .

The Hilpertsau-Weisenbach compact overhead line is laid on seven steel truss masts (one end mast, two guy masts , three support masts and a junction mast ) with two trusses and at first glance looks like a medium-voltage cable designed as a bundle, but it can be seen that the spacers between the conductors are insulators and thus each conductor bundle comprises a complete electrical circuit. Behind the seventh mast, the line changes into two normal medium-voltage lines, namely a single-circuit line to Reichental and a two-circuit line to Au im Murgtal . While the former continues to run as a normal overhead line immediately after the branching mast, the transition to the next mast takes place in the latter.
