Kunstweg am Reichenbach

The Kunstweg am Reichenbach is a sculpture path near Gernsbach in the northern Black Forest . In the Mittleres Murgtal landscape protection area, it extends over 3.2 km between the Gernsbach districts of Hilpertsau and Reichental . The Reichenbach flows through a valley cut deep into the Forbach granite of the Black Forest basement and flows into the Murg in Hilpertsau . The multi-day circular hiking trail Gernsbacher Runde runs along the Kunstweg .

Project description

The project was initiated in 2004 by the sculptors Rüdiger Seidt and Jürgen Dieskau and the non-profit association Kunstweg am Reichenbach e. V. The works are on loan from the artist.

While the first exhibitions and designs were presented in 2004 and 2005, the first sculptures were put up on the Kunstweg from 2006 onwards. They are related to the natural environment and change as a result of the weather. Due to the dismantling of individual works and the installation of new works, the Kunstweg am Reichenbach is a mirror of different contemporary art movements. The spectrum ranges from figurative sculptures to abstract sculptures and works of Land Art . In former hay huts, so-called painter's huts, there are also pictures.
