Rüdiger Seidt (born January 25, 1965 in Forbach ) is a German sculptor .

biography

Rüdiger Seidts artistic activity began in 1989 and from 1991 onwards led him to various sculpture projects in the USA. Between 1992 and 1996, Seidt's “travel sculpture” traveled to France, Greece, Morocco, Zimbabwe, Peru and New York City. In 2001 Seidt carried out an art project with trainees from DaimlerChrysler AG, Rastatt. From 2004 he was the initiator, co-founder, organizer and participant of the Kunstweg am Reichenbach , until 2012 also its artistic director.

Rüdiger Seidt lives and works in Forbach. In 2012 he was a founding member of Experiment Landschaft-Kunst in Herrenwies eV

In 2019 Rüdiger Seidt received the International André Evard Prize . He was also awarded the audience award for his work Circletetra, 2018 - Cor-Ten . He shares the audience award with Antonio Marra , whose work The Wisdom of the Sea Cucumbers was also awarded.
