Condensate lifting system

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Condensate lifting systems are collecting tanks with an integrated pump for pumping condensate from condensing boilers , air conditioning and cooling systems that accumulate below the backflow level . An integrated float switch or a pressure tube detect the fill level and switch the pump on or off.

As a rule, a condensate lifting system is equipped with an additional detector in order to issue a warning in the event of an impending overflow of the container and to switch off the connected heating or cooling system. Some manufacturers also offer an integrated neutralization unit to bring the pH value of the condensate in oil condensing boilers to a neutral level.
