Konjac Skënderbeu
Konjak Skënderbeu is an Albanian brandy that has been made in Tirana since 1967 . It is considered a national drink of the Albanians and is known for its sweetish and full-bodied taste.
Origin of name
The brandy is named after Skanderbeg ( Albanian Skënderbeu ; 1405–1468), the national hero of Albania.
Manufacturing process and alcohol content
The Konjak Skënderbeu is made exclusively in barrels and vats made of oak , which give the spirit its scent, aroma and color. The most important ingredients are old brandy, mountain herb extract, plum , grape and lemon liqueur . Also, sugar and caramel be used. After the production process, the brandy is stored for a few years and is then sold at home and abroad.
The alcohol content is at least 40 percent by volume .
