Konrad Huber (theologian)

Konrad Huber (* 1965 in Heinfels ) is an Austrian Roman Catholic theologian and New Testament scholar.

Life

From 1983 to 1989 he studied specialist theology and independent religious education at the Catholic-Theological Faculty of the University of Innsbruck ( Mag. Theol. 1989). From 1989 to 1994 he completed a doctorate at the Catholic Theological Faculty of the University of Innsbruck. After receiving his doctorate in 1994 as Dr. theol. with a thesis on the Jerusalem disputes of the Gospel of Mark and the habilitation 2006 for the subject "New Testament Biblical Studies" at the Catholic-Theological Private University Linz with a thesis on the Christ visions in the Revelation of John. Since 2006 he has been a university professor for New Testament biblical studies at the Catholic-Theological University Linz and associate professor for New Testament biblical studies at the institute (since 2007); previously university assistant (1993–2001) or assistant professor (2001–2007). From October 2010 to July 2011 he was the professor for New Testament biblical studies at the Catholic Theological University in Linz. On October 1, 2011, he was appointed professor of the New Testament at the Catholic Theological Faculty of Johannes Gutenberg University Mainz .

His research and interests are the Gospel of John, the Revelation of John and New Testament Christology and Bible theology
