Konrad Steindl

Konrad Steindl (born September 3, 1955 in Hof near Salzburg ) is an Austrian entrepreneur, politician ( ÖVP ) and former member of the Austrian National Council .

education and profession

After attending elementary and secondary school, Konrad Steindl completed an apprenticeship as a chartered accountant, tax clerk and accountant between 1971 and 1978. From 1978 he was head of accounting at Autohaus Neuhofer and its managing director between 1980 and 1984. In 1984 he founded Steindl-Mayr OHG and has been co-owner and managing director of motor vehicle operations since 1984. In 2007 he was awarded the title of Commercial Councilor.

politics

Konrad Steindl was town councilor in Plainfeld between 1994 and 1997 and vice-mayor of the town between 1997 and 2004. Since 1995 he has been deputy district party chairman of the ÖVP Flachgau and since 1998 member of the board of the Austrian Economic Association in the Salzburg regional group. Since 2003 he has also been Head of the Trade and Crafts Division in the Salzburg Chamber of Commerce and since 2007 Deputy Head of the Trade and Crafts Division. Steindl has been a member of the car mechanics' guild since 1993 and was elected deputy state guild master in 1996. From 2002 to 2013 Steindl sat for the ÖVP in the National Council.

Private

Konrad Steindl has been married since 1978 and has two children.
