Konrad Thiel (born September 21, 1980 ) is an American biathlete .

Konrad Thiel lives in Salt Lake City , studied at the University of Utah and starts for Utah Nordic . He is married to Jacquelyn Thiel . During his studies he was active as a freestyle swimmer at university level. In the 2009/10 season he took 21st place in the overall ranking of the Biathlon NorAm Cup .

At the North American Biathlon Championships 2010 in Fort Kent , Thiel finished ninth in the sprint with six errors and ninth in the pursuit race with five errors. In the mass start race he reached 14th place with eleven mistakes. In the overall ranking of the Biathlon NorAm Cup 2010/11 , he was eleventh and missed the top ten by just one place. The high point of the year was the North American Championships in Biathlon 2011 in Whistler , where Thiel again finished with six mistakes in the sprint and finished seventh, achieved sixth place in the pursuit with seven mistakes and finished eighth in the mass start race.
