Konrad von Pont († between 1435 and 1438)
Konrad von Pont († between 1435 and 1438) was a lay judge and mayor of the imperial city of Aachen .
Life
Even before he became a lay judge , Konrad von Pont held the office of mayor in 1427/28 together with lay judge Walter Volmer . It is not exactly known when Konrad von Pont himself became a lay judge. In 1433 he was first mentioned as such in a document, but he probably held this office as early as 1430. Konrad von Pont was a member of the "Bockzunft", the society of patricians , in which scholars, doctors, lawyers, merchants and civil servants were organized.
Konrad von Pont and his wife Gertrud had two children, a daughter Heilke and a son Wilhelm. The date of Konrad's death is not known. On March 12, 1435 he was last appointed as a lay judge. On June 4, 1438 he is named as deceased.
