Konstantin Dmitrijewitsch Flawizki ( Russian Константин Дмитриевич Флавицкий ; * September 13th July / September 25th  1830 greg. In Moscow ; † September 3 jul. / September 15,  1866 greg. In Saint Petersburg ) was a Russian history painter.

He received his artistic training at the Imperial Art Academy , where he was a student of Fyodor Antonowitsch Bruni . After receiving several awards for his drawings and sketches, he received the Small Gold Medal for the painting Solomonic Court . A year later he finished the academic course with the rank of painter 4th grade and with the great gold medal, which he sold with the painting Jakobs Söhne her brother Josef . He made a trip to Italy at the expense of the academy and returned to Russia in 1862. With the painting Christian Martyrs in the Colosseum , which is now in the Russian Museum , he became an honorary member of the academy.

For the Academy exhibition in 1864 Flawizki painted the painting Death of Princess Tarakanova (now in the Tretyakov Gallery ). This painting made him known to a wide public, brought the recognition of art connoisseurs and the rank of professor. But the painter should not realize his talent in any other work of art. While working on the Tarakanova painting, he was already suffering from tuberculosis , which he had contracted in Italy and which was getting worse and worse in the climate of Saint Petersburg. Flawizki hoped to be saved by a journey south, but he died before he could leave.
