Laurieipterinae is a subfamily of the suborder Stylonurina from the order of the sea scorpions (Eurypterida).
features
In the species from the subfamily Laurieipterinae, the metastoma was broad and flattened or blunt at the rear edge. The epistoma had a rostral area. The prosomal limbs II to IV were spiny ( Ctenopterus type), however, V and VI had no spines ( pageA type). The opisthosoma was undifferentiated.
Locations
Representatives of the Laurieipterinae family have been found in North America ( New York State ) and Europe ( Scotland ).

The family was established in 1966 by Erik Norman Kjellesvig-Waering . According to Lamsdell, Braddy & Tetlie 2010, it includes the following genera:
