Laurieipterinae is a subfamily of the suborder Stylonurina from the order of the sea ​​scorpions (Eurypterida).

features

In the species from the subfamily Laurieipterinae, the metastoma was broad and flattened or blunt at the rear edge. The epistoma had a rostral area. The prosomal limbs II to IV were spiny ( Ctenopterus type), however, V and VI had no spines ( pageA type). The opisthosoma was undifferentiated.

Locations

Representatives of the Laurieipterinae family have been found in North America ( New York State ) and Europe ( Scotland ).
