Nomada facilis is a bee from the family of Apidae . Individuals with more yellow content can beconfusedwith Nomada integra .

features

The bees are 6 to 8 millimeters long. The head and thorax are black and red in the females. The tergites are red and have black spots or bands. The labrum is black and has strong teeth. Its leading edge is bent up. The mandibles are evenly curved when viewed from above. The third antenna segment is about the same length as the fourth. The scutellum is more or less spotted red and has strong bumps. The pygidial plate is pointed at the end. The rails ( tibia ) of the hind legs have several, curved, pale little thorns at the end. In the males, the head and thorax are black, the mandibles and cheeks are yellow, the calli are red. The tergites are basal black, otherwise red. The black labrum has strong teeth and a curved front edge. The mandibles are missing a hump on the outside. The black label has a strongly developed hump. The thighs ( femora ) of the hind legs have several curved, pale little thorns at the end.

Occurrence and way of life

The species is common in southern and central Europe. The animals fly from early May to early August. The species probably parasitizes Andrena humilis .
