Nomada integra is a bee from the family of Apidae . The species lookssimilar to Nomada facilis .

features

The bees are 6 to 8 millimeters long. The head and thorax of the females are colored black and have red markings. The tergites are red, basal they are more or less black. The labrum is black and has strong teeth. The third antenna segment is the same length as the fourth. The heavily humped scutellum has two red spots. The pygidial plate is wide and at the end obtuse-angled and almost rounded. The rails ( tibia ) of the hind legs are pointed at the end and have strong, pale, curved, small thorns. The males look similar to the females, but have yellow markings on their faces. The mandibles have a central nodule on the outside. The antennae also have nodules on the back. The thighs ( femora ) of the hind legs have a large patch of hair at the bottom.

Occurrence and way of life

The species is common in southern, central and southern northern Europe. The animals fly from early April to mid-August. They parasitize Andrena humilis .
