Continental Cup
The Continental Cup ( Russian Кубок Континента / Kubok Kontinenta) is a trophy of the Continental Hockey League . It has been awarded to the team with the highest points in the main round since the 2009/10 season . The price can be compared to the Presidents' Trophy of the National Hockey League .
The name of the trophy was determined by the fans of the KHL, who chose Кубок Континента with over 50 percent of the votes cast.
Award winners
The first winner of the trophy was Salawat Yulayev Ufa in the 2009-10 season. In the 2008/09 season , Ufa had also managed to finish the main round as the team with the best points. In 2019, with CSKA Moscow, a team won both the Continental Cup and the Gagarin Cup in the same year for the first time.
