Kalashnikov Group is a Russian arms company named after the Kalashnikov rifle (AK-47, produced from 1947, designed by Mikhail Timofejewitsch Kalashnikov ). Until 2013 it operated as Ischmasch . According to its own statements, it produces around 95% of Russia's small arms .

In addition to the Ischmasch plant, the Rybinsk shipyard and the drone manufacturer ZALA Aero now also belong to the company.

In mid-February 2018, the Russian state-owned Rostec reduced its stake from 51% to 25% plus 1 share. The almost 26% stake was bought by company boss Alexej Kriworutschko , who was also previously involved in Kalashnikov.
