A head butcher slaughters and cuts up farm animals such as cattle or pigs. Head butchers mostly work in slaughterhouses .
First, head butchers drive in the animals, stun them, hang them up and cut the main arteries . This is followed by cutting, where the head butcher removes certain body parts and the innards of the animals and skins them by machine.
