Korba (unit)

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Korba was a volume measure for charcoal in the Split region ( Dalmatia ).

The differences in quality were taken into account when selling by weighing in such a way that one unit, i.e. a Korba, Dalmatian coal at 140 pounds and Fiume coal at 170 pounds was delivered. Crumbly grus (about the size of a walnut) was traded according to the Stajo measure .
