The Korean Central Broadcasting Station (KCBS) is a medium and shortwave broadcaster from North Korea , broadcasts exclusively in the Korean language and is operated as a domestic service.

Most of the broadcasts from the headquarters in Pyongyang can also be received in Europe during the winter months; The strong MW frequency of 819 kHz in particular offers opportunities for this. Reception reports are confirmed after a waiting period of about three months with QSL cards from the international service "Voice of Korea". The preferred transmission frequencies on shortwave are u. a .: 2850, 3220, 3350, 3481, 3920 and 3959 kHz . In the medium wave range, 720, 765, 819, 873, 882, 927 and 999 kHz are used.
