Korean Studies

The Koreanistik (in Austria: Korean Studies ) is an area of science whose research subject Korea forms in the broadest sense. Important topics are the Korean language , literature , culture (including art or music ) and history . Together with Sinology and Japanology, it belongs to the field of East Asian Studies . The Benedictine Andre Eckardt , who worked as a missionary in Korea for decades, is considered the founder of German Korean Studies .
