Koroška dijaška zveza (Carinthian Schools Association ), or KDZ for short, is the organization for Carinthian-Slovenian schoolchildren in Carinthia with its headquarters in Klagenfurt.

history

The KDZ is a member of the umbrella organization SMO (Slovenske mladinske organizacije) and maintains close contacts with the KSŠŠK (Klub slovenskih študentk in študentov na Koroškem). The association was founded in 1961. Ordinary activities have been taking place in the new club rooms in Klagenfurt since January 2011 .

aims

The KDZ would like to connect the Slovenian young people in the federal state of Carinthia and promote their extracurricular activities. To this end, one wants to train the members to be independent and enable them to stand up for the fulfillment of Article 7 of the State Treaty and the rights of the Slovenian minority. This should happen in a peaceful togetherness.
