Košava

The Košava (pronounced: Koschawa ) is a cold wind in the area of ​​the Iron Gate ( Danube breakthrough in the Banat Mountains between Serbia and Romania ), which can also develop stormy. It mostly blows from east to south-east and arises as a result of the jet effect of the valley at the Iron Gate and can affect from Banat to the city of Niš in central Serbia.

The Košava often brings snow from Russia.
