Koskenpää [ ˈkɔskɛnpæː ] is a former municipality in Finland and is now part of the city of Jämsä .

Koskenpää is located in central Finland, 26 kilometers north of Jämsä city center on the Jämsänjoki River. The municipality Koskenpää comprised the capital of the same name and a total area of ​​352.5 km² and last had 2,393 inhabitants (1963).

The Koskenpää area originally belonged to the Jämsä parish . With the construction of a tar factory in 1909, industrialization began in Koskenpää and the place experienced strong growth. In 1926 Koskenpää was separated from Jämsä as an independent municipality at the same time as Jämsänkoski . In 1969 Koskenpää was incorporated into Jämsänkoski, which in turn merged with Jämsä in 2009.

Koskenpää Church was built in 1896–1902.
