history

The rented Boeing 737 from Hamburg International in Kosova Airlines livery

The virtual society was founded in autumn 2003 by the United Nations Mission in Kosovo ( UNMIK ) and the Kosovar government. Because Kosova Airlines no air operator certificate had been a Boeing 737-700 ( D-AHIF ) from Hamburg International hired and from 1 December 2003 by this in wetlease operated for the company. The lease ended on May 10, 2006, whereupon Kosova Airlines continued its flights with chartered planes from other airlines. The company commissioned Germanwings , Edelweiss Air , Pegasus and Germania one after the other to carry out their operations.
