Kossi Efoui
Kossi Efoui (* 1962 in Anfoin ) is a Togolese author.
He studied philosophy at the University of Lomé and took part in protests against the regime of former Togolese President Gnassingbé Eyadéma . These political activities meant that he had to leave his home country. Today he lives in exile in France .
He writes dramas and novels and works as a reporter, particularly for the French-language weekly Jeune Afrique . Pan-Africanism and the so-called negation of Francophone Africa shape his worldview. In 2002 he received the Grand Prix littéraire de l'Afrique noire for his work La Fabrique des cérémonies .
