Kot Island ( Russian Остров Кот Ostrow Kot , German ' Katzeninsel ' ) is an island off the Knox coast of the East Antarctic Wilkesland . It is located in the area of the Bunger Oasis .
Scientists from a Soviet Antarctic expedition named it. The Antarctic Names Committee of Australia translated this name into English in 1989.
