Kotoko (2012)

Kotoko ( Japanese コ ト コ ; born January 19, 1980 in Sapporo ), usually written only in capital letters, is a female J-pop , trance and techno singer.

She also composes and writes her own lyrics, as well as for other singers.

She often works with the producers of I've Sound and has contributed songs to many animes and computer games , such as Shakugan no Shana , Hayate no Gotoku! , Kannazuki no Miko and Starship Operators .

biography

Even when she was in elementary school, she believed that her career would depend on her voice and attended as many auditions as possible. In addition, she attended courses at the Haura Music School, with which she improved her skills.

She became a professional singer in 1999. She won an audition organized by the producers of I've Sound and impressed with her first two albums. Their second album, Glass no Kaze , received many good reviews and was highly praised in many Internet communities.

Her first album is called Sora o Tobetara and was released in 2000. Many songs were later re-recorded for their first I've sound album Hane .

Kotoko's first appearance in the US was her successful appearance at the Anime Expo 2005, followed by the KOTOKO LAX Tour.
