Krabinay
In Haitian Voodoo , Krabinay is a spirit being that belongs to the group of destructive and hostile spirits, the Petro . Occasionally, Krabinay is also seen as a group of loa, spirit beings, with the same characteristics.
Attributed properties
Krabinay has been linked to violence. A bitter and cynical character is ascribed to him. At the same time, he should also be able to free people from persecution by Baca (malicious wandering ghosts ) and hostile oaths of revenge . The specialist author Reginald Crosley compares him to Lucifer in the biblical tradition. Krabinay admitted that he was created by God , but avoided his name and remained at a distance from God, since he had not asked for the creation.
Adoration
People who feel obsessed with Krabinay should dress in red and jump dangerously high. Voodoo generally warns against its veneration, but in particularly desperate cases it can effectively assist a voodoo priest . Those present should keep a safe distance from the possessed, as they should not only show cynicism, but also violent behavior.
