Krafty Kuts

Krafty Kuts (real name Martin Reeves ) is a British electronic music producer , label owner and DJ .

Life

Krafty's career began in the 1980s when he reached the finals of a DJ contest at the age of 17, allegedly without ever putting on records. As a hip-hop and electro DJ, he developed his scratching and mixing skills and also began working on his own productions.

In 1996 he was signed by FSUK, an offshoot of the well-known Ministry of Sound label , on which he released 3 EPs. The track Gimme the Funk on Fatboy Slim's label Southern Fried became well known among DJs. This success made Krafty Kuts a sought-after remix producer in the UK. He remixed for Jurassic 5 , Utah Saints and Arthur Baker , among others . Numerous other singles and EPs followed, including on the well-known breakbeat label Fingerlickin 'Records .

Krafty's music has been used in commercials for Coca-Cola and Playstation 2, as well as Guy Ritchie's film Mean Machine , among others .

In 2006 his first solo album Freakshow was released on Against The Grain .
