Krahwinkel (noble family)
The noble family von Krahwinkel , also Krawinkel, was an old knightly family in the diocese of Merseburg and the electorate of Saxony .
history
At the end of the 15th century 2 Accoloti by Krawinkel, 1482 Hugo (possibly identical to Haugk) and 1493 Melchiar von Krawinkel and 1497 Jost von Krahewinkel zu Glina ( Gleina ) are mentioned. In a Pfortenser document from 1505 a Haugk von Kraewinkel occurs and in 1589 a Jost von Krawinkel is mentioned again. The family may have died out with Georg Hans von Krawinkel auf Rohe in 1625.

The coat of arms shown here shows a golden crow pointing to the left in a shield divided by silver and red. On the helmet with the red and silver collar, there are seven cattails, alternating red and silver. The helmet covers are red and silver (red and white).
