Britz Hospital

The former Britz Hospital (formerly: Kreiskrankenhaus Teltow ) is a red brick building from the 19th century and is located at Blaschkoallee 32 in the Berlin district of Britz in the Neukölln district .

history

The building was built between 1894 and 1896 by the then Teltow district , to which Britz belonged before it was incorporated into Greater Berlin , as the Teltow district hospital. It became the municipal hospital from April 1, 1924. Later it was merged with the Rixdorf hospital , now Vivantes Neukölln Clinic . In the 1990s, the entire health care department moved to the Neukölln Clinic. The hospital building is now used as the Citizens' Registration Office 3 in the Neukölln district .

The oldest part of the hospital, the main building, stretching from west to east along Blaschkoallee, is set back around 20 meters from the street and is divided into a central section with a protruding bay window and two wing structures.
