Krassimira Stoyanova

Krassimira Stojanowa ( Bulgarian Красимира Стоянова ; born August 16, 1962 in Veliko Tarnowo , Bulgaria ) is a Bulgarian opera singer with a soprano voice .

Life

Stojanowa studied singing and violin at the Conservatory in Plovdiv and began her career as a violinist. In 1995 she made her debut at the Sofia Opera, in 1998 as Micaela in Carmen at the Vienna State Opera , where she has since performed as Countess in Le nozze di Figaro , Rachel in La juive , Antonia in Les Contes d'Hoffmann , Nedda in Pagliacci , Mimi in La Bohème and as Rusalka and Elisabetta.

Stojanowa has now performed at almost all well-known opera houses, such as the Metropolitan Opera , the Teatro Colón , Buenos Aires, the Royal Opera House Covent Garden , the Zurich Opera House , the Deutsche Oper Berlin , the Bavarian State Opera in Munich and the Salzburg Opera Festival .

Awards

In 2009 Krassimira Stojanowa was awarded the title of Austrian Chamber Singer .
