Saarland cancer registry

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Saarland Cancer Registry , the Cancer Registry of Saarland and has existed since 1967, making it the second oldest in Germany. The data collected are patient-related (in order to avoid multiple entries, e.g. when changing doctor) and contain further information such as gender, age and risk factors for possible ( epidemiological ) study purposes. Strict data protection regulations were observed. Among the cancer registers of the individual federal states, it stands out not only because of its age but also because of its low proportion of DCOs.

The legal basis is the Saarland Cancer Register Act (SKRG) of February 6, 2002.
